Every night starting at nautical twilight (6:16pm)*
FM 88.8MHz and stream
For five days in a row radioCona will start its broadcasts every day at 6:16pm, at the start of nautical twilight, which is defined when the sun is at least 6 degrees below the horizon. This is the time when the horizon is still distinguishable, although there is already a need for illumination. It is the time when the first stars become visible.

The unit 0.2425 denotes the remainder of the Earth’s orbital period along the ecliptic, which is compensated for with an extra day in a leap year. This edition of radiocona:0.2425 aims at reflecting and shifting precisely this ‘unperceived’ remainder, making a leap to move from the unit of time to the notion of space, toward perceiving space, toward perceiving, capturing, and composing sounds and soundscapes, and ultimately toward creating autonomous narratives.

About radioCona:0.2425 program:

Once again radioCona will make your winter evenings more enjoyable. This edition of broadcasts will unfold around the theme of the leap year (taking a leap or crossing from daytime to night-time, moving from listening to hearing, from the entertaining to the attentive). We believe that the key to a different kind of experience lies precisely in ‘taking a leap’.

Taking a leap to cross boundaries is understood as potential, as a stock or a repository of sense, piling up and transforming into a unit of a remaining surplus, the ‘unperceived’ adjunct of our existence. The unit 0.2425 designates the remainder of the Earth’s orbital period along the ecliptic, which is compensated for with an extra day in a leap year.

This edition of radioCona:0.2425 aims at shifting precisely this ‘unperceived’ residue. It focuses on the shift from the unit of time to the notion of space, toward perceiving space, toward perceiving, capturing, and composing sounds and soundscapes, and ultimately toward creating autonomous narratives. Even if they are processed and displaced. Or perhaps precisely because they are, as with processing, selection, and transformation, these landscapes are given a new outline, a new taste. Inviting us to follow lead and also take a leap, shift positions. Appealing to us to leave behind comfortable, well-known positions and situations and jump aboard the train into the unknown, to cross over to the world of biosonifications and become attentive travellers. That’s why we again choose to broadcast in wintertime and after the sunset, to make this transition lighter and gentler.
