Zavod Cona is kindly inviting you to listen and explore newly published podcasts of the FM exhibition, which took place at radioCona from 18th to 23rd of January 2020. We collected soundart works, arranged by curator Manja Ristić, who prepared eight curated sets.

Exhibition co-created 48 artists from eight countries. During the preparation of the exhibition, curator Manja Ristić was asking herself “where in this ubiquitous role of sound should we search for its socio-cultural impact?” And as an answer she wrote: “Perhaps we should foster a rather Buddhist approach – insisting on responsible and compassionate education, research and cultural implementations that underline the importance of every living element, or in finding ways to finally acknowledge the importance and definitions of all forms of intuition in the all-heuristic construction of new perceptional understandings. My intuition depends on a very specific form of listening, but it is often charged with mnemopoetic experiencing of my immediate surroundings.”

Manja Ristić: Introduction to Sound & Listening as Psychoenergetic Agencies, lecture

I would like to bring fundamental traits of sound & listening in close relation with pivotal physical, physiological and psychological body functions. With acknowledging both psycho-physical and bioenergy dynamics, my final effort is to highlight possible roll of sound & listening in better comprehending of overall human experience: of oneself, and the all-pervading environment.

In the performance, they will listen to creatures that have the ability of complete body metamorphosis and co-habit with other species in a codependency. They will employ auditory cognition to introduce their own, artistic insight in the form of speculative thought and creativity around the theme of our close co-existence with bugs and other arthropods.
