V okviru projekta Radio as Art Space vas vabimo, na delavnico kjer se boste seznanili z radijskim medijem in njegovo vlogo prečenja javnega in privatenga prostora. Udeleženci bodo tako ob spoznavanju medija, skozi igro in performiranje preizkušali različne taktike interveniranja in spoznavali mestno jedro skozi novo in drugačno prizmo.
LIGNA je bila ustanovljena leta 1997. Skupino sestavljajo trije ustvarjalci, ki prihajajo iz sfere medijske in scenske umetnosti: Ole Frahm, Michael Hueners and Torsten Michaelsen.

Radio is an uncanny medium. It infiltrates spaces with duplicated voices and sounds, which defy the idea of the original. In the same way, it does not care about the difference between public and private space: the public sphere of the radio cannot be kept outside, subverting every attempt to keep a space under control. Usually, this quality of radio is suppressed by the content that is broadcast. Like no other medium, radio is used to help its listeners find their way through the day and support the easy flow of every day life. This workshop proposes experimentation with a usage of radio that exploits its capacity to subvert the normality of every day life. It is based on the simple assumption that radio is always already a means of intervention.

Established in 1997, LIGNA includes media and performance artists Ole Frahm, Michael Hueners and Torsten Michaelsen, who since the early nineties work at the Freies Sender Kombinat (FSK), a public non-profit radio station in Hamburg. Twice a week, they produce a program called Lignas Music Box, asking the listeners to call in and play their favourite songs via the telephone. The common trait shared by all works by LIGNA is that they regard their audience as a collective of producers. In a temporary association, this can produce unforeseeable, uncontrollable effects that challenge the regulation of a space. One of LIGNA´s models of media usage, the Radio Ballet (invented in 2002), provides radio listeners with choreography of excluded and forbidden gestures in once public, now controlled spaces. Other projects include Radio Concert for 144 mobile phones, which enables radio listeners to participate in a process of collective composition, or The New Man, a theatre play without actors, which engages the audience in a complex gestural interaction.
